I will be announcing the winner of those fabulous pillows in a few days… What a tough decision! I wish I could give prizes to all my new followers! There will be more opportunities to win great prizes so stay tuned for future fabulous giveaways!

I want to share with you my recent trip to Paris!!!! As you can imagine I took a zillion pictures ranging from my trips to the flea markets, personal shopping excursions, and The Louvre. I was particularly fascinated by the architectural details, all the ornate colorful doors, and of course all the food at the Le Bon Marche. Which believe it or not, was one of my favorite spots in Paris! Besides spending time with my amazing 15yr old son, flea market shopping and decorating, eating is one of my favorites past times.

For my blog today I have decided to share with you my experience at “Les Puces” The St-Ouen Flea Market which is the largest antique market in the world. I have been to a lot of flea markets and furniture shows around the country but nothing compares to Les Puces!!!!  I remember the first time I went to the High Point furniture show I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I have to say the Les Puces is the ultimate in flea market shopping. I spent two full days there and was not able to see all the vendors.

Here a glimpse of my experience…

Check out this amazing wood carving…probably an original architectural detail from a French chateau…

I am obsessed with these oval mirrors! I also love the idea of clustering them together to create the look of one large piece…

I found this incredible Napoleon chaise, such amazing lines…

I have been collecting vintage apothecary bottles, and of course I had to add some of these to the collection!

I die over La Cornue ranges, check this one out…

Les Puces was truly the experience of a lifetime for a designer! I will be sharing the rest of my Paris favorites…to be continued!

  3. How incredibly beautiful. When my children are older, we’ll be making the great trip to Paris. Those flea market finds are just amazing. What an experience it must have been.

  4. don’t you simply fall in love over and over again every time you are there? one of my favorite places on earth (although I do prefer the countryside – vide greniers, the people, the food!)
so happy to have found you!
