Fall Harvest

Have I mentioned that I love fall?  It’s my favorite season of the year, it makes me really happy. One of reasons I love it so much is that my son JD’s birthday is October 20th which kicks off the season, Halloween follows then Thanksgiving…….

I went to the remnants of the past antique show in Nipomo this past weekend and I just had to buy this French garden cart and fill it up with pumpkins that I bought at the Avila Valley Barn.  I love the Provence blue!

At the show in Nipomo they were selling the most beautiful pumpkins with inspiring quotes etched in them. Everyone was buying them like hotcakes!

While I was up north we went to the most amazing pumpkin patch in Avila Beach that my good friend Mica told me about. IMG_0554

If you are heading up to Northern California I would highly recommend stopping at the Avila Valley Barn, they have the largest selection of pumpkins that I have ever seen.

Happy Fall everyone.

  1. Love your cart. This is the second time I’ve heard of Avila Farms. We were in San Francisco last weekend, and didn’t know about the farm. Too bad, we would have stopped. I guess a lot of people went to Nipomo too. We went to a music festival instead.

  2. Hi Janette, Thanks for commenting on my blog. Yes I have vintage ornaments. I retail them for $4-6 each, but we’ll talk. Every year I put out a hundred or so. That’s my favorite time of year for decorating.
